Each contact on your audience list has a different status. In this article, you can learn about each type of contact and what you can do with them.

There are three contact statuses in the Flowio app: Subscribed, Non-subscribed and Unsubscribed.

Subscribed

Customers who have ‘Subscribed’ statuses are the ones who have opted-in for the channels of their choosing, whether it is Email, SMS or both. By doing so, they have accepted your marketing, therefore, feel free to send them the offers, promotions and campaigns through those channels.

Non-subscribed

The contacts who have had activities on your website, such as viewing products, putting the goods to carts or purchasing, their information will be recorded. And while they abandon their carts or create accounts, they leave their emails on the website and thus, become Non-subscribed contacts. They have not subscribed to your store by any means so you cannot run any campaign for these contacts.

For this type of contacts, they can enter the Automation Flows based on their activities and got engaged automatically.

Unsubscribed

Customers who previously subscribed to your store, however for some reasons, they have decided to unsubscribe. You are not eligible to send any communication to them, and once violating this rule, it may result in your account suspension.

Segment your contacts by Subscription status

Please refer to this article for in-depth instructions on how to create Segments.

When you want to take a quick glance at the total number of subscribers on each channel, you would need to go to the Audience to filter your contacts. By separating Email subscribers and SMS subscribers into different segments, you don't have to manually do it every time.

For Email subscribers,

For SMS subscribers,
